A NSDAP Party Member’s Lapel Badge by Deschler & Sohn of Munich
A fine “Goldenes Parteiabzeichen”; in gilded tombac and black, white, and pebbled red enamels. The obverse with a black mobile swastika (Hakenkreuz) in the centre within a bed of white enamels, with a red enameled edge inscribed “Nationalsozialistische DAP”; the reverse plain, with a horizontal pinback (slightly fragile); maker marked Deschler & Sohn, München” and “Ges. Gesch.” on the reverse; clearly numbered “28478” (unresearched); measuring 30.46 mm in diameter; weighing 13.0 grams. Approximately 85% of the original gilding still present, but with some moderate chipping to the white enamels in the centre of the badge near two of the corners of the swastika; an actively worn example in near very fine condition.
