Germany, NSDAP. A 1937 Göttingen Gau Honour Prize, with Case, by Josef Feix & Söhne
(Ehrenpreis des Gaus Nr. 33 Göttingen mit Etui). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse with a Göttingen skyline and coat of arms overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, flanked by a date of “8. 2. 37.”, circumscribed by an inscription of “15. JAHRE NSDAP IN GÖTTINGEN” (“15. YEARS OF THE NSDAP IN GÖTTINGEN”), the reverse with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M/183”, as well as the logo of Josef Feix & Söhne, Gablonz, measuring 60.09 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original case of issue, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux brown leather exterior, the lid with a gold inscription of “EHRENPREIS DES GAUS NR. 33 GÖTTINGEN”, the interior with a white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted white felt medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 85 mm (w) x 85 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), in overall near extremely fine condition.
