Constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with ribbed arms, the obverse overlaid by a central NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, within a laurel wreath, the reverse with a central inscription of “TREUE FÜR FÜHRER UND VOLK” (“LOYALTY FOR FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), with stylized sun rays between the quadrants, unmarked, measuring 43.06 mm (w) x 46.85 mm (h), weighing 35.9 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, with a faux brown leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gold NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the interior plain, the reverse marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/142” for Josef Hillebrand, Gablonz, measuring 52 mm (w) x 96 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), significant oxidation and loss of finish evident to the decoration, in overall near very fine condition.
