Germany. A German Cross in Gold, Miniature, by Börger & Co.

This is a fine quality manufacture and extremely well preserved German Cross in Gold miniature stick pin; the cross consisting of a double-overlaid sunburst pattern with eight points; the center with a black enameled rotated (mobile) swastika, with the enamels well preserved without chipping of any kind and only minor contact marks; within a stamped gilded circular wreath impressed with oak leaves, ribbons, and the introduction year “1941”; the inner and outer sides of the wreath feature a thin red enameled rings with a silver core in the middle; with a 54 mm long knurled needle pin; the reverse with a single rivet; maker marked “L/57” for “Börger & Co., Berlin” on the reverse; measuring 16.14 mm (w) x 16.06 mm (h); in overall virtually mint condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity by Detlev Niemann.
