Klasse”; white metal cross pattée of multi-piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a white metal ribbed border; with a vertical tapered pin, a barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch; measuring 44.25 mm x 44.27 mm; marked L/52 under catch; weighing 17.0 grams; Accompanied by its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper with a lightly textured black faux leather (leatherette) exterior; with the outer lid embossed in silver with the outline of an Iron Cross First Class; lined interior lid; slotted medal bed; intact interior fabric hinge cover; functional spring catch with stud release; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 68 mm x 68 mm; with attractive patina on the silver frame from age; in overall extremely fine condition.
