A well preserved Iron Cross 1939 Second Class; silver frame; iron core (magnetic); maker marked “27” (Schenkel, Wien/Vienna) on the loop; long original ribbon; measuring 44 mm x 44 mm; very fine condition; with paint well preserved and attractive medium patina. Original packet of issue with “Eisernes kreuz II. Klasse, 1939/Iron Cross II. Class, 1939” on the obverse, with maker mark “Maria Schenkl, Wien” on the reverse; measuring 85 mm x 61 mm; packet worn but otherwise better than fine condition.
