A Type II Iron Cross 1939 First Class; in frosted silvered tombac; vertical pinback; maker marked “L/11” (Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid) on the reverse; measuring 44.30 mm x 29.79 mm; weighing 9.2 grams; in mint condition with only limited silvering loss. In its original case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed paper with a black textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior; white velvet lining for the interior of the lid with a black felt recessed medal bed; functional push button; with a mostly preserved interior fabric hinge cover and a functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 67 mm x 68 mm; mint condition.
