Germany. A Clasp to the Iron Cross 1939 First Class, by B.H Mayer, Type-A
(Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz). Constructed of silvered tombac; the obverse consisting of a National eagle clutching a large wreathed mobile swastika with a shield at the bottom of the badge, dated “1939”; the reverse with a functional hinge/catch assembly; unmarked, but displaying all typical manufacturing characteristics of B.H. Mayer’s Type-A clasp; measuring 44.1 mm (w) x 30.5 mm (h); weighing 9.0 grams. With excellent silvering, in near mint condition.
