Germany. A Reduced Size Clasp to the Iron Cross 1939 Second Class; Second Type
A fine example of a Clasp to the Iron Cross 1939 Second Class (Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz 1939 2.Klasse); Second Type; constructed of silvered tombac; the obverse consisting of a National eagle clutching a large wreathed mobile swastika, with a straight-edged banner attached to the bottom of the wreath, dated “1939”; the reverse with all four prongs fully preserved; an unmarked example; measuring 24.92 mm (w) x 25.05 mm (h); weighing 6.7 grams; with some patina from age; in overall very fine condition.
