A well-preserved presentation case for a 1939 Iron Cross I Class, constructed of a light wooden frame, with a faux black leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a silver embossed Cross Pattée, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge over, maker marked “PAUL MEYBAUER, BERLIN”, with a slotted beige felt medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, measuring 70 mm (w) x 70 mm (h) x 22 mm (h), with only minor exterior fatigue evident, in overall extremely fine condition.
