(Eisernes Kreuz 1939 II. Klasse). Reinstituted 1 September 1939. (1939-1945 issue). A unique 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, presenting plain with the exception of an initial institution date of “1813” on the reverse six o’clock arm, the suspension loop marked with a Präsidialkanzlei code of “66” for Friedrich Keller, Oberstein, measuring 42.08 mm (w) x 47.81 mm (h), weighing 16.7 grams, with oxidation evident demonstrating that this is not a unofficial denazified cross but a unique "blank" cross in very fine condition.
