(Dienstauszeichnung II. Klasse). Instituted 16 March 1936. (1936-1945 issue). Constructed of silvered feinzink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with Heer/Kriegsmarine clasp, consisting of a Cross Pattée with ribbed arms, the obverse with a central Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a central number “18” on a pebbled background, unmarked, measuring 36.36 mm (w) x 40.40 mm (h), weighing 15.2 grams, in better than very fine condition.
