Constructed of gilt zink; the obverse depicting a leftward facing Wehrmacht soldier, circumscribed “4. Kompanie-Aufklärungsabteilung 7 - 1939/1940”; the reverse inscribed “4. PanzerDiv”, along with the divisional symbol of the 4th Panzer Division, with two laurel stems beneath; measuring 50.31 mm in diameter; weighing 42.1 grams. Accompanied by its case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed cardstock, with a black slightly textured faux leather (leatherette) exterior; lined interior lid, with a padded and lined interior lid, and recessed medal bed; with a functional stud release, intact interior fabric hinge cover, and a functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 105 mm (w) x 107 mm (h); with light to moderate loss to the original gilt finish from age; in overall near very fine condition.
