Constructed of gilt bronze; inscribed “NSKK Südwest Orientierungsfahrt der Motorgruppe Südwest”; measuring 79 mm in diameter. Accompanied by its award certificate; stating that NSKK man Stefan Maurer from Friedrichshafen (on Lake Constance, southwest Germany) has been awarded the badge in gold for the 4th Southwest Orientation Drive as a solitary driver. It carries the stamp of NSKK Motor Group Southwest and is dated to Stuttgart on August 15, 1939. The signature is that of the group leader, the name is illegible. Measuring 104 mm x 147 mm; in overall extremely fine condition.
