(Verdienstauszeichnung für Angehörige der Ostvölker, 1. Klasse mit Schwertern, in Gold). Instituted on July 14, 1942. (Issued 1942-1945). An eight-pointed star constructed of gilded zink, the obverse depicting a six-leaved rosette, surrounded by a laurel wreath tied together at the bottom via a ribbon, the reverse plain, with a vertical pinback and a functional hinge/catch assembly, marked “100” for “Rudolf Wächtler & Lange” on the reverse, measuring 49.56 mm (w) x 49.03 mm (h), weighing 19.5 grams, with the gilt mostly worn off, but well intact on the metal hardware on the reverse, in overall good condition.
