(Tapferkeits- und Verdienstauszeichnung für Ostvölker 1.Klasse Gold mit Schwertern). Instituted 14 July 1942. (1942-1945 issue). Constructed of gilded feinzink, the obverse consisting of an eight-pointed radiant star, with a central raised six-leaf rosette within a pebbled ring, in turn within a laurel wreath, with crossed swords through the centerpiece, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 49.80 mm (w) x 49.63 mm (h), weighing 24.9 grams, most of the gilt finish has been lost, in overall very fine condition.
