A 1942 commemorative table medal for the seizure of Singapore; constructed of oven baked clay; the obverse with a Imperial Japanese flag with a laurel wreath, circumscribed “Groß-Ostasien von Fremdherrschaft befreit” (Greater East-Asia freed from foreign domination); the reverse with a tiger standing beneath a palm, circumscribed “Einnahme von Singapore 11. Februar 1942” (Seizure of Singapore, 11. February, 1942); measuring 50 mm in diameter; mint condition.
