Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Clasp, Bronze Grade, by A.G.M.u.K
(Nahkampfspange in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse with a Wehrmacht-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, and with four oak leaves and two acorns on each side, the reverse with a square magnetic metal backplate, with a horizontal banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, the reverse marked with designed “W.E. PEEKHAUS, BERLIN” and maker “A.G.M.u.K., GABLONZ” for Arbeitsgemeinschaft Metall und Kunststoff, measuring 97.8 mm (w) x 25.3 mm (h), weighing 31.7 grams, most of the bronze finish has been preserved, nice clasp with very good details, in very fine condition.
