Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse with a Wehrmacht-style German eagle clutching a mobile swastika above a bayonet and stick grenade, within a square oak leaf wreath with a magnetic metal backplate, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, and with four oak leaves and two acorns on each side, the reverse with a barrel hinge and magnetic banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 96.75 mm (w) x 25.32 mm (h), weighing 30.0 grams, evidence of period repair to the hinge, in overall near extremely fine condition.
