Germany, Wehrmacht. A Close Combat Clasp, Silver Grade, by Friedrich Linden
(Nahkampfspange in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse with a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika above a bayonet and stick grenade, with sun rays emanating from the centre of the left and right sides, and with four oak leaves and two acorns on each side, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, marked with the logo of maker Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 96.70 mm (w) x 25.96 mm (h), weighing 34.3 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
