What's a max bid?

A Gold Grade Close Combat Clasp by C.E Juncker; Type 1.13.1

A textbook example of a gold grade Nahrkampfspange by a desired maker; in gilded zink, some of the original gilding still remaining; horizontal pinback; maker marked “Fec. W.E. Peekhaus, Berlin” and “Ausf. C.F. Juncker, Berlin” on reverse (see footnote for explanation for misspelled maker mark); slightly vaulted; with non-magnetic center plate; measuring 96.00 mm x 25.41 mm; weighing 31.1 grams; very fine condition.

Footnote: All Type 1.13.1 Close Combat Clasp suffer from the maker’s mark being misspelled as the second initial is clearly an “F” instead of the appropriate “E”, since it is marked “Ausf. C.F. Juncker, Berlin” instead of “Ausf. C.E. Juncker, Berlin”. Whether this was intentional or an honest mistake is unknown.
