Germany, Third Reich. 1 October 1938 Medal (Sudetenland Medal), with Case
A circular medal constructed of bronze, the obverse bears two nude male figures, one of which holds a flag with a swastika that flies behind them, both are standing on a podium with an eagle holding a wreath with a swastika in the centre, the reverse centre bears the inscription “1 OKTOBER 1938” circumscribed with “EIN VOLK EIN REICH EIN FÜHRER” (ONE PEOPLE ONE COUNTRY ONE LEADER), with suspension loop, measuring 32.20 mm (w) x 37.43 mm (h), accompanied by its original ribbon and case, of red pebbled material with a gilt national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a swastika in its talons on the exterior lid, push button latch, the inside lid of off-white fabric and a red velvet metal bed, measuring 50.6 mm (w) x 103.68 mm (h), very fine.
