(Heer Schützenschnur). Instituted June 1938. A Heer Marksmanship Lanyard, Grade I, Type II, consisting of an aluminum insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the centre bears two cut-out upwards facing crossed swords superimposed over a shield, affixed with three reverse attachment prongs to a lanyard constructed of interwoven silver aluminum wire cords, with three slides constructed of wood covered in thin silver-grey cords in a zigzag pattern, the reverse is backed with field grey wool behind the aluminum badge, measuring 468 mm (l), fine.
