What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Germany, Heer. An Army Marksmanship Lanyard

(Schützen Abzeichen des deutschen Heeres). Instituted on 29 June 1936. New Pattern Plaque. The lanyard is constructed of semi-bright aluminum cord plaited with a flat portion bearing an alloy metal plaque, measuring 38 mm (w) x 55 mm (h), featuring shields bearing crossed swords and the Wehrmacht-style eagle on a wreath of oak leaves (matte aluminum symbolized troops of armoured units), over a black wool backer, attached to a thick silver aluminum braid with a white rayon backer, measuring 300 mm (inclusive of button loop), shows some fraying and soiling, and in near very fine condition.
