Germany. A Bronze Grade Spanish Cross with Swords by Paul Meybauer
A “Spanishes Kreuz”; bronze grade; Maltese cross with a central applique consisting of a mobile swastika; manufactured with crossed swords between the arms, but with the Luftwaffe eagles separately applied; vertical full banjo style pinback, with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch; maker marked “L/13” for “Paul Meybauer, Berlin” on the reverse; measuring 57.38 mm x 56.27 mm; weighing 26.6 grams; a proudly worn example, with bronze finish completely worn off, and with the tips on most of the arms of the cross lightly bent; in overall near very fine condition.
