A “Goldenes Spanisches Kreuz”; in gilded bronze; Maltese cross with a central applique with a mobile central swastika; manufactured with crossed swords between the arms, but with the Luftwaffe eagles separately applied; vertical banjo style pinback with a barrel hinge and a slightly rounded catch; maker marked “4” for “Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid” on the reverse of the pin; measuring 56.82 mm x 57.15 mm; weighing 31.5 grams; with approximately 35% of the original gilding remaining on the reverse, but nearly all of the gilding remaining on the reverse; in overall very fine condition.
