Constructed of silvered tombak, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, the pinback maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “4” for Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 48.42 mm (w) x 48.26 mm (h), weighing 15.3 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a heavy card stock frame with a faux black leather exterior and silvered Maltese Cross embossed onto the lid, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted black felt medal bed, opening with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 68 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), with minor material fatigue to the exterior of the case, in overall near extremely fine condition.
