Constructed of silvered zink, consisting of a Maltese cross with crossed swords set through the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with an integral barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, the pinback maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “4” for Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 49.04 mm (w) x 48.75 mm (h), weighing 17.1 grams, in extremely fine condition.
