Constructed of silvered tombak, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with pebbled arms and crossed swords piercing the centre, with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and tapering vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “84” for Carl Poellath, Schrobenhausen, measuring 48.90 mm (w) x 48.55 mm (h), weighing 22.2 grams, minor loss of finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
