An absolutely mint, unissued and overall nearly flawless War Merit Cross Second Class with Swords “Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern”; a Maltese cross in a bronzed alloy; on loop for suspension (unmarked); with an absolutely mint and unissued period original ribbon; the obverse with crossed swords between the arms of the cross and a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center; the reverse with a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date “1939” in raised numbering; measuring 47.74 mm (w) x 47.71 mm (h); weighing 26.0 grams. Accompanied by its original paper packet of issue; constructed of paper, with “Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse” printed in black Gothic lettering on the obverse, and “Rudolf Tham, Gablonz an der Nahe” in black Gothic lettering; measuring 99 mm (w) x 128 mm (h), and with a piece of paper stating “Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern” and “Inspektor Mieczkowski” in black type-written lettering; measuring 149 mm (w) x 208 mm (h); in overall mint and unissued condition.
