Klasse mit Schwertern) in its packet of issue; Maltese cross in bronze alloy; on loop for suspension from its period original full size ribbon; the obverse with crossed swords between the arms of the cross and a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center; the reverse with a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date “1939” in raised numbering; measuring 48.26 mm (w) x 48.00 mm (h); weighing 26.3 grams. Accompanied by its packet of issue; constructed of paper, with “Kriegsverdiesntkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern” printed on the obverse in black Gothic lettering, and with “Adolf Scholze, Grünwald” printed in the same style on the reverse; measuring 58 mm (w) x 105 mm (h). With its matching period original boutonniere; constructed of a ribbon sewn onto a bakelite button; in overall near mint condition.
