A Maltese cross in tombak; on loop for suspension - marked “1” for “Deschler & Sohn” manufacture; with an absolutely mint period original ribbon; the obverse pebbled, with a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center; the reverse with a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date “1939” in raised numbering; measuring 48.54 mm x 48.18 mm; weighing 17.7 grams. Accompanied by its mint paper packet of issue; the obverse inscribed with “Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwerter” in black ink; the reverse inscribed with “Deschler & Sohn, München 9” in black ink; measuring 59 mm (w) x 105 mm (h); in absolutely mint and unissued condition.
