Klasse ohne Schwerter”; Maltese cross in bronzed alloy; on loop for suspension - marked “60” for “Katz & Deyhle”; with a period original ribbon; the obverse pebbled, with a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center; the reverse with a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date “1939” in raised numbering; measuring 48.96 mm (w) x 48.88 mm (h); weighing 18.1 grams. Accompanied by its original packet of issue; constructed of paper, with “Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse ohne Schwerter” printed in black gothic lettering on the obverse, and “Katz & Deyhle, Pforzheim” on the reverse; measuring 74 mm (w) x 122 mm (h); the cross slightly bent; in overall extremely fine condition.
