(Kriegsverdienstkreuze). A pair of War Merit Crosses, including a II Class Cross with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and with crossed swords through the centre, the obverse bearing a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 47.73 mm (w) x 48.08 mm (h), weighing 21.4 grams, in extremely fine condition, and; a I Class Cross with Swords, constructed of silvered zink, consisting of a Maltese Cross with crossed swords through the centrepiece, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with an integrated hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting an integrated catch, unmarked, measuring 48.53 mm (w) x 48.65 mm (h), weighing 21.0 grams, in extremely fine condition.
