Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a central wreated date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 47.16 mm (w) x 48.18 mm (h), weighing 20.1 grams, accompanied by its period original packet of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, the obverse with an inscription of “KRIEGSVERDIENSTKREUZ 2. KLASSE MIT SCHWERTERN”, the reverse with a maker marked of “GROSSMANN & CO., WIEN”, measuring 48 mm (w) x 106 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
