Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central wreathed swastika, the reverse with a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 48.38 mm (w) x 48.82 mm (h), weighing 23.8 grams, accompanied by its period original package of issue, constructed of light brown paper stock, the obverse exterior with an inscription of “KRIEGS-VERDIENSTKREUZ 2. KLASSE MIT SCHWERTERN”, the reverse exterior with a maker’s mark of “PH. TÜRK’S WWE., WIEN”, measuring 58 mm (w) x 108 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
