Germany, Heer. A Flak Badge, by Rudolf Souval
(Heeres-Flak Abzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Rudolf Souval, Vienna, measuring 44.04 mm (w) x 59.67 mm (h), weighing 29.9 grams, with most of the silver finish lost in addition to moderate oxidation, in very fine condition.
