Germany, Heer. A Flak Badge, by Wilhelm Hobacher
(Heeres-Flak-Abzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Wilhelm Hobacher, Vienna, measuring 44.47 mm (w) x 60.07 mm (h), weighing 30.3 grams, loss of finish is evident and period repair to the catch is apparent, in overall better than very fine condition.
