A Mint and Unissued Wehrmacht Heer Issue Narvik Campaign Shield

A mint and unissued Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Issue Narvik Schild; constructed of stamped zink; the shield; featuring national eagle with swooped down wings, clutching a wreathed swastika; inscribed “Narvik” in capital letters, with an Edelweiss flower (representing the Heer) in the center between the date “1940” and a crossed anchor (representing the Kriegsmarine) and propellor (representing the Luftwaffe) on the obverse; with its wool backer perfectly preserved but coming loose - visible are two of the four prongs that attach the shield to the backing plate; measuring 100 mm x 54 mm; mint condition.
