Germany, Heer. A Krim Shield
(Heer Krimschild). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, affixed with all four attachment prongs to a zink backplate with a field-grey wool liner, indicating Heer issue), and fully-intact paper liner of identical colour, unmarked, the shield measuring 52.98 mm (w) x 61.31 mm (h), weighing 28.0 grams overall, with some tarnishing visible to the shield, in better than very fine condition.
