Germany, Wehrmacht. A Pair of Campaign Shields
(Wehrmacht Ärmelschilder). A pair of Wehrmacht campaign shields, including a Krim Shield, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse with a central map of Crimea, topped by a Wehrmacht-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates “1941-1942”, unmarked, measuring 57 mm (w) x 64 mm (h), in better than very fine condition, and; a Kuban Shield, constructed of magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by a Wehrmacht-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, alongside a date of “1943”, unmarked, measuring 56 mm (w) x 64 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.
