Constructed of oval silvered zink with a copper base coat; the obverse with an oak leaf border and a pair of acorns at the base, with a large Wehrmacht-style eagle with folded wings clutching a mobile swastika, and a crossed bayonet and stick grenade in the centre; the reverse plain with a vertical needle style pin and a functional hinge/catch assembly; unmarked; measuring 42.71 mm (w) x 52.79 mm (h); with some of its original finish rubbed off, thus revealing its copper undercoat and zink base metal; in overall near extremely fine condition.
