A rare, complete Defence Economy Leader Badge set, including a decoration constructed of gilded tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval ring around a central stylized factory on a hollow background, above oak leaf branches, topped by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, within a banner bearing an inscription of “WEHRWIRTSCHAFTSFÜHRER” (“DEFENCE ECONOMY LEADER”), the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 34.10 mm (w) x 44.48 mm (h), weighing 19.4 grams, accompanied by a stick pin miniature, constructed of silvered feinzink, unmarked, measuring 21.44 mm (w) x 14.34 mm (h), also accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a padded white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted blue velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal snap button and functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 90 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 25 mm (h), with minor oxidation eviden to the decorations, in overall near extremely fine condition.
