Germany, Wehrmacht. A Tank Destruction Badge in Silver
(Panzervernichtungsabzeichen in Silber). Instituted 9 March 1942. (1942-1945 issue). Constructed of blackened magnetic metal, consisting of a detailed black-painted Panzer IV, affixed to a silver aluminum wire ribbon with three reverse prongs, with machine-embroidered black cotton bands at both the top and bottom, the reverse with a dark grey wool liner, the insignia measuring 43 mm (w) x 17.5 mm (h), the backer measuring 85 mm (w) x 30 mm (h), minor material fatigue evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
