A Second War German Silver Grade Infantry Assault Badge

A second war German “Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen”; bronze grade; oval shaped oak leaf wreath in bronzed zink, with a national eagle clutching a swastika on the top and a bowtie on the bottom. Diagonally across the badge is a Karabiner 98k with the bayonet attached to the front of the barrel and the carrying sling hanging from the rifle; the reverse plain; with a vertical round wire pinback, a sheet metal hinge, and a slightly rounded wire catch; unmarked; measuring 60.63 mm x 47.02 mm; weighing 28.7 grams; 90% of its original bronze finish remaining; in very fine condition.
