Germany, Heer. A Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze, by Friedrich Linden
(Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze). An ovular medal constructed of bronze, the obverse centre bearing a cut out right-facing Panzer IV tank on grassy ground, with its left tread extending beyond the border, the centre is encompassed by an oak leaf wreath with a national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a swastika in its claws at the top, the reverse is solid and plain and bears a vertical magnetic pinback with a rounded “c” hook catch, both soldered onto the reverse, the reverse is maker marked “FLL” (Friedrich Linden Lüdenscheid) with each initial encompassed by a raised circle and the number “43” below, measuring 42.42 mm (w) x 60.92 mm (h), weighing 33 g, very fine.
