Germany, Wehrmacht. A Panzer Assault Badge, Bronze Grade, by Adolf Schwerdt
(Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath topped by a Wehrmacht-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a Panzerkampfwagen IV superimposed in the centre on grassy ground, with its left track extending over the edge of the badge, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, measuring 42.55 mm (w) x 62.74 mm (h), weighing 18.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
