Brought back by an American veteran - Includes: A Tank Badge for 25 Engagements, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, the obverse consisting of an oval border of oak leaves, joined together at the bottom by a raised plaque bearing a number of “25”, with a tank superimposed in the centre rolling over wooden logs, with its left track extending over the edge of the badge, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 47.70 mm (w) x 61.95 mm (h), weighing 31.7 grams, in better than very fine condition; accompanied by a holster for a Walther P38, constructed of thick, polished blackened leather with machine stitching, features main compartment to house the P38, with folding weather flap to protect the weapon, held in place by lower flap stitched to the reverse of the holster bearing magnetic metal stud fitting through buttonhole on weather flap, small pouch on exterior obverse accommodating ammunition clip, two straps on reverse for placement upon a belt, the reverse exterior bears an embossed German national eagle clutching wreathed mobile swastika above a code of “WAA159”, weapon model number “P38”, maker code “BLA” for E.G. Leuner, Bautzen, and a hand-etched inscription of “RANDALL”, measuring 156 mm (w) x 230 mm (l), the holster has two vertically-arranged holes accommodating the vertical pinback of the Tank Badge, moderate wear to the exterior finish of the leather is evident, presents in an otherwise better than very fine condition.
