Germany, Wehrmacht. A Panzer Assault Badge, Bronze Grade, by Karl Wurster
(Panzerkampfabzeichen in Bronze). Constructed of bronzed feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, with a central Panzer IV on grassy ground, with its left tread extending beyond the wreath, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Karl Wurster, Markneukirchen, measuring 40.55 mm (w) x 59.16 mm (h), weighing 30.3 grams, most of the bronze finish has been lost, in overall very fine condition.
