A Silver Grade Tank Badge by Arno Wallpach of Salzburg 1942

In silvered zinc, partially scooped back, badge was originally silver washed but it has worn off through time; vertically oval oak-leaf wreath with a Wehrmacht eagle with down-swept wings clutching a swastika; forward profile Panzer IV; the reverse of the badge has a crimped hinge, a thin round vertical pin, and a soldered catch all in tact; badge maker marked AWS 1942 indicating the manufacturer Arno Wallpach of Salzburg; 6 cm x 4.2 cm; overall condition fine.
